15 Principles That Make Our Church Unique

Victorious (Ephesians 6:11) “Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

In-Depth Studies (Psalm 31: 8) I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Christ Centered (Ephesian s 5:23) Christ is the head of the church: and he is the
Savior of the body.

Therapeutic Praise (Psalm 30:11) Thou hast turned for me my mourning unto dancing.

Organized & simple structure (Ephesians 4: 11-12) And he gave some, apostles, and some prophets; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

Rise to give first fruits “Early Morning Prayer”(Mark 1: 35-39) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

Yielded to supreme FAITH (2 Corinthians 5:7) For we walk by FAITH and not by sight.

Immediate awareness of guests “Seeker Sensitive Services” (Corinthians 9:22-23)

Newness (Romans 6:4) “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

Contemporary Worship (John 4:23) ….The true worshipers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Hospitality (1 Peter 4:8-9) Love shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Ready to share the gospel (1 Peter 3:15) But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.

Incorporate into fellowship- “Fellowship one with another” (I John 1:7) But if we walk in the light, as he is in he light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Spiritual Warfare (Ephesians 6: 11-17) & (Matthew 16:18-19) …..this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Teaches life development courses (Ephesians 4:13-15) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, into a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

WORSHIP SERVICE
We are a purpose driven, seeker friendly church which focuses on therapeutic praise and life changing messages in a loving environment. We believe in the “Gifts of the Spirit” and we welcome their manifestations. In order to comfort you, we have to decentralize you. However, we will never depersonalize you by making you feel like you’re “just a number”. Our worship starts at 10:00am every Sunday morning.

ENRICHMENT HOUR
Come out to this great time of fellowship and ‘Learning How to Grow’ in the distinctive curriculum based upon individualized need assessment. It completes the Worship service like “Icing Completes a Cake”.

CORE CURRICULUM
At VIC we have core curricula to reflect some of our core values. This curriculum could cost you hundreds of dollars, however, at VIC we offer them (for free) to those who are willing to purchase their materials. These courses can give you up to 12 units and resolve many of life’s issues. They are offered in the Enrichment Hour & also during the evenings. WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP
In such sexist/ism world, women sometimes lose their identity in Christ and their value in the world. However, the Women’s Fellowship is a place for women to come, share and care for one another. Come out and learn the beauty of being you (A Woman for Change).

BIBLE STUDY
Come out on Wednesdays afternoon at 12pm or Wednesday evening @ 7:00pm and experience unique way of teaching for change by using literature, dialogue, and small groups. Dr. Mitchell’s lessons are practical and applicable for youth & young adults. After class, you’ll know you’ve entered into a journey with Jesus with his encouraging words under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

HEALING PRAYER GROUP – Join us on Thursdays at 10:00am for healing of the body, mind and spirit.

The theme for VIC is “Arming People for Battle”. The Lord has given Bishop Dr. Steven Mitchell a timely, spirit filled word which is guaranteed to break free strong-holds of worry and doubt in your life. Dr. Mitchell understands the major aspects of your spiritual, psychological, physical, social & emotional needs.
